ETNOLAND SECRETS OF DALMATIA

EtnoLand is an authentic open-air ethno village located in Pakovo Selo, in the hinterland of Dalmatia, near Drniš. It offers a unique insight into traditional Dalmatian life, customs, and architecture, preserving the spirit of rural heritage in a natural and peaceful setting.

The village is built using original stone houses, dry-stone walls, and traditional materials, faithfully recreating how people lived in Dalmatia centuries ago. Visitors can explore old homes, storage rooms, blacksmith workshops, wells, and courtyards, all furnished with original tools and everyday objects from the past.

EthnoLand is also known for its strong connection to local gastronomy. Guests can taste homemade Dalmatian food prepared according to traditional recipes,

Itenerary:

  • 09:00 – Private transfer from Split
    Scenic drive from the coast into the rural hinterland, passing small villages and traditional landscapes.
  • 10:30– Arrival at Winery – TEŠTAMENT

Enjoy local Dalmatian wines at a nearby family winery.

Local wine tasting(4 glasses of wine).

  • 12:30 – Arrival at ETNOLAND & welcome by local hosts
    Introduction to the concept of ETNOLAND, its history, and the importance of preserving rural heritage. Explore Dalmatian traditions, crafts, and rural life through interactive exhibits and displays.
  • 13:30-15:00 – Lunch in EtnoLand
    Enjoy an authentic Dalmatian peka, slow-cooked with tender meat, fresh vegetables, and traditional local flavors.
  • 15:00-15:30 –Free time at EtnoLand

Guests have time to explore ETNOLAND at a relaxed pace. This moment can be used to visit the souvenir shop offering handmade local products and traditional crafts, enjoy the peaceful village atmosphere, or simply take a quiet walk through stone courtyards and rural surroundings before lunch.

  • 15:30-17:00 – Private transfer back to Split
    Return journey to the coast.
